Privacy Policy

TBON GmbH, Schaffhauserstrasse 126, 8302 Kloten (ZH), Switzerland, develops and operates ShowroomOS, a platform car brands use on tablets at events, shows and in showrooms to present vehicles and collect contact requests. The controller of the data collected at an exhibition is the exhibiting brand or organisation (shown on the device and in the form); TBON GmbH processes that data as a processor on its behalf. For the data of back-office users, TBON GmbH is the controller.

Only the data the visitor enters in the form and the context in which they do so:

• Contact details entered in the form: first name, last name, email, phone, postcode, country, preferred language and any answers to the questions in the form.
• Stated interest: vehicle shown, colour selected, type of request (for example test drive, quote, information, brochure).
• Exhibition context: event or showroom, station, time of submission and an anonymous summary of the use of the device (sections viewed, colours tried, duration), which is linked to a person only if they submit the form.
• Consents: which consents were given, with the version of the text accepted and the time.
• For back-office users: email address and role.

We do not collect payment data or sensitive personal data. The public ShowroomOS website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

The iPad app is used by exhibitors on devices at the stand or in the showroom; visitors do not create an account and do not sign in with their Apple ID.

• Data entered in the form and the summary of the visit stay on the device until they are transmitted to our servers; after transmission they are removed from the device.
• The app uses a device identifier generated at pairing, to know which station a lead comes from. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
• The app does not access the device’s location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos, and contains no advertising or third-party tracking tools.
• Apple does not receive the data entered by visitors.

• To follow up on the request chosen by the visitor (contact, quote, test drive, brochure).
• To allow the brand and its dealers to contact the visitor about that request.
• To send marketing communications only if the visitor has given a separate, revocable consent.
• To produce aggregate statistics about the exhibition (number of sessions, most viewed vehicles).
• To authenticate back-office users and protect access to the data.

Legal basis: the visitor’s consent and pre-contractual steps taken at their request, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the GDPR.

The data is stored with Supabase (data centre in Switzerland, Zurich); the application is hosted by Vercel. We keep it for as long as the controller defines for handling the exhibition’s leads and delete it on request or at the end of the service.

With the responsible brand and, if the request provides for it, with the dealers it designates. Only with the providers needed to run the service, as processors: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (application hosting) and the email delivery provider used for notifications. We do not sell data to third parties.

You can request access, correction, restriction, portability and deletion of your data, object to marketing communications and withdraw your consent at any time. You can contact the brand that collected the request or us; we forward it to the controller and handle it as far as it concerns us.
